My first visit to Shaw trusts H2I care home
Hi, my name is Raphael, I work in Children’s Service’s and am Shaw Trust’s Youth Voice Ambassador. I am a young person myself, who is now employed by Shaw Trust to make sure that young people’s voices are heard and acted upon.

T was a year 11 student who was having a hard time in an alternative provision setting following a permanent exclusion from school. T’s Mum was receiving support from their local GP to obtain an autism assessment. T spent most of their time in education struggling every single day.
Trip to Nottingham: Youth Participation Ambassador Report
As part of my professional development, I had the opportunity to shadow Rebecca Lillie, the Quality Assurance Manager and YVPG Lead for H2I. During this visit, we explored two residential homes operated by Homes to Inspire, an organisation dedicated to providing safe, nurturing, and high-quality care for children who have often experienced trauma.
Trip to Norwich: Youth Participation Ambassador Report
My first work trip with Shaw Trust as the Youth Participation Ambassador was to Norwich, where I was warmly welcomed by my manager, Michael Pepperell.
