WHP Pioneer is more than employment support; it’s an opportunity. It’s voluntary, accessible and personalised, and it’s open to anyone eligible and eager to step into the workforce.

Who is WHP Pioneer for?
WHP Pioneer is provided by Shaw Trust and support is available if you live in:
- Home Counties (Cambridgeshire, East Sussex, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Peterborough and Suffolk).
- Central England (Black Country, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Marches, Staffordshire and West Midlands).
- West London (Barnet, Brent, Harrow, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, Hillingdon and Hounslow).
WHP Pioneer is part of the Work and Health Programme and is the latest phase of Universal Support. Eligibility criteria applies.
Eligibility
You must not be currently employed or in training and face one or more of the following barriers to employment:
1. Have a disability or health condition recognised under the Equality Act 2010.
2. Meet the early access criteria:
- Ex-offender or offender
- Carer or ex-carer
- Homeless person
- Former member of His Majesty’s (HM) Armed
- Forces or member of the HM
- Armed Forces reserves
- Partner of current or former HM Armed Forces personnel
- Drug/alcohol dependency
- Care leaver
- Young person in a gang
- Refugee, Afghan Resettlers, Ukrainian Evacuees
