Resilient Futures
Coaching and Mentoring for Young People
We recognise the growing importance of improving mental health for young people and developing their resilience and wellbeing through coaching, mentoring, and therapeutic interventions.
Our services were born out of the need to support young people struggling with their mental health.
Resilient futures offers:
Professional mentoring, counselling and cognitive behavioural therapy to young people delivered by qualified mentors. The young people we support include:
- Primary or secondary school and post 16 education students.
- Care leavers.
- Young people that are NEET.
We currently deliver these services in nine London boroughs, as well as in Gloucestershire and Norfolk.
Our services, available across England, can be delivered face-to-face or virtually. We offer tailored support through 1:1 sessions or group activities, with costs tailored to meet the specific needs of the young people involved.
The wellbeing and resilience mentoring for young people is delivered via a two-tiered approach:
- Tier one professional mentoring (Level 5 qualified mentors)
- Tier two counselling and CBT (where required).
Our starting point for all services is professional mentoring (Tier one) for young people identified as requiring support will undertake.
Once complete, if any young people are identified as needing further, they will then move onto counselling and CBT (Tier two)
We be flexible with the delivery of the service to meet the requirements of the young people in your area.
A proven path to stronger mental health and brighter futures
An independent external evaluation conducted by University of Northampton Institute for Social Innovation and Impact January 2024 found that:
Support offered through CBM has a substantial and positive impact on the mental health of participants. The ability to engage in discussions about mental health with mentors and other staff members surrounding the participants played a crucial role in this impact.
The results revealed a notable improvement in respondents’ self-efficacy, and mental health and well-being over the course of the programme.
It is statistics and examples like these that compel us to act in support of young people in building their resilience to enhance their futures.
