Interviews at Shaw Trust
How to prepare
To help you do your best during your interview take some time to prepare in advance.
Review your career history and draw out key highlights and examples that fit with the role you are applying for, so that you can talk confidently about your experience, skills, and achievements.
Review the job description and advert to remind yourself what the position involves and what skills and experience we are looking for. Prepare some examples that show how you meet the criteria.
Prepare questions that you would like to ask the interview panel, either to find out more about the role or the organisation.
As well as the recruitment process being an opportunity for us to get to know you, it should also be an opportunity for you to get to know Shaw Trust.

Video Interviews
When you are invited to interview you should receive information about the interview format, so you know what to expect. Typically, our interviews include competency-based questions where we will ask you to give examples from your past experience to demonstrate that you have the skills and knowledge to carry out the role. Use the STAR technique to tell us what the situation was, the task that you had to complete, the action you took, and the result.
