This year the Disability Power 100 received 786 nominations for individuals, organisations and campaigns that have influenced, innovated and delivered impact in for disabled people in the UK over the last 12 to 18 months. 367 high quality, qualified nominees have now been shortlisted.
Now in its ninth year, Shaw Trust’s annual Disability Power 100 celebrates and recognises ambition and achievements. It provides much needed encouragement to the leaders of tomorrow. Those shortlisted are trailblazers and role models who demand the strengths and talents of disabled people are recognised and society is inclusive.
Highly prestigious the Disability Power 100 is judged by an independent panel of 25 judges. Each entry is scored based on evidence of impact, influence and innovation, with the judges requiring clear and granular detail of achievements in each category. You can find out more about our judges here.
The final list of 100 individuals, plus our special recognition categories, including the Rising Star category named in memory of our colleague and disability advocate, Clare Gray, will be announced at our live purple-carpet event and livestream on 20 November.
