We are delighted to announce that our Children and Young People\’s Services (CYPS) team and Ixion team have maintained their Matrix accreditation.
External assessors carried out surveillance visits in November and December 2022, and confirmed that CYPS and Ixion continue to maintain the Matrix standard.
CYPS success
There were clear areas for strength identified across the accreditation, including:
- Leadership and clear direction.
- Colleagues understand the vision, values and purpose of the organisation and they know how to apply them in their work.
- Colleagues are positive about the appraisal process and the links with the vision/mission.
- Colleagues spoke passionately about the work they do.
- Communication has improved at all levels since the last inspection.
- Young people influence the services they receive.
- Stakeholders and colleagues are consulted on and influence delivery.
Ixion\’s results
The assessor was complimentary about the improvements that are being made and identified the following areas of strength:
- The investment in first line quality and compliance activities, and in particular themed observations.
- The restructuring of Traineeships and the creation of a Youth Education and Skills area with strong partnerships with national employers that have a high level of commitment to social value.
- The significant investment in upskilling of teaching and learning colleagues, and the CPD Fridays (which included aspects of IAG development).
- The use of the Microsoft 365 customer voice programme for addressing feedback rates and measuring satisfaction.
- Importance provided to SEND and the increase of resources in this area.
Congratulations to all our colleagues, learners, young people and partners involved.
