With over two decades of experience in employment support, our Employment Specialist, KH found their true calling in the Thrive into Work programme. Joining the team after a career that spanned various roles, in employment support, KH is now deeply committed to helping individuals with health conditions or disabilities return to work.
KH takes a tailored, holistic approach to support participants. From understanding personal barriers to employment, to building vocational profiles, their aim is to connect people with jobs that match their skills and aspirations. KH not only focuses on job placements but also on long-term retention by ensuring participants receive ongoing support.
“Our work isn’t just about finding a job,” they explain. “It’s about building confidence, addressing health-related challenges, and ensuring that individuals can succeed and thrive in the workplace.”
Collaboration with employers is a key part of the role too. By educating employers on the Equality Act and reasonable adjustments, KH can create positive working environments that accommodate individuals with health conditions. KH’s ability to speak to both participants and employers ensures a successful, sustainable job match.
Outside of job placements, the Employment Specialist also provides in-work support, helping participants settle into their roles and build confidence in their new environment. This holistic approach, combined with a deep understanding of both participants and employers, is what makes their work so impactful in transforming lives.
