Every Tuesday and Thursday, colleagues from the Thrive Into Work Haringey and Enfield Individual Placement and Support (IPS) programme are located at the Wood Green JCP to create opportunities to support more people with mental or physical health conditions achieve their employment goals. Working closely with the Disability Employment Advisors at the JCP, we have created a robust partnership which is clearly benefitting everyone.
Being able to provide on-the-spot support has been crucial for both unemployed people and those who need assistance to maintain their current job. Since this collaboration, we have seen a substantial number of referrals to the Thrive into Work programme and a high number of job starts, with over 90 signups and more than 20 job starts.
Working closely together with Wood Green JCP has created a clear line of communication meaning that regular updates and feedback can be shared. Such transparency has also resulted in any issues being quickly addressed and has given us the chance to capitalise on opportunities.
KB who has just secured a role in Morrisons after a year of being out of work and 2 months on the programme:
“The IPS programme has helped me better understand my condition and helped me on the path to getting a diagnosis, introducing me to other organisations. The interview and CV support has really helped me and I feel as though and can start to work towards my future with my housing situation now in the process of being resolved.”
Looking ahead, Thrive into Work is committed to continuing this collaborative approach with Wood Green JCP. Our focus will be on maintaining the strong relationship we have built to remain a valuable resource for the community.
